Belief revision An instance where someone would require convincing to change their belief system may be someone learning that a friend or family member is a crimial. This is different than our first case because more propositions may have to be added to our knowledge base that may conflict and contradict previously believed information. We would have to work to un-learn the previously believed information while taking into account what we now believe to be true. Additionally, similar to the example given in class of believing someone is a mass murderer and a criminal, should our belief of our friend ever change, we must revise any information that pertained to that person being a criminal.
