Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar.
- Carefully fold in the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Add the vanilla extract and stir.
- Stir in the sifted flour and chopped walnuts (if using), mixing until well combined.
- Spread the batter evenly into a greased 8x8x2-inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes, being careful not to overbake.
- Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them into 16 squares.
- Serve!
