Complex belief revision:
a case wherein someone requires convincing to change their belief
An example of this would be trying to convince somebody to change their
political stance, let's say from Republican to Democratic, or vice versa.
A belief change is hard in this case because it took quite a period of time
to develop one's stance, hence of course changing it takes quite a bit of
effort to change it.
There are a lots of factors that may cause the belief revision, and
they all have different weights. For instance, a minor policy change
may not matter as much as a big political scandal of a candidate. Also,
depending on how strong one's beliefs are, it may require multiple
attempts for an actual change.
