Two places in normal life in which we change our beliefs 1. In the case that our belief is changed without second thought, the example that I have come up with is when it changes from day to night. When the sun goes down below the horizon we don't second guess that it is nighttime we just know that is the case. We realize that it is no longer daytime anymore without any other considerations. If we were to model this situation, we would have to consider the sun for starters. How the sun changes its location in the sky could be something that is changing and where it is moving impacts our beliefs. Also, how bright the sky is might be something else to consider. If it is pitch black out versus bright that might be important to know about the state of the world 2. For trying to convince a person to change their belief, you need added information to help prove that they should change their belief. One example would be if someone learns something wrong. So when a person is learning multiplication and they think that 0 times 1 is 1, you have to prove to them that it is actually 0 by explaining the problem to them. That process of explanation or showing that person would help to change their belief. A model that would represent this situation would first need to take into account that the persons belief is not what it should be, and then you have to make the added step to actually convince them. You may have to do more than one thing to prove to them that they need to change their belief so that could require several steps. For my example, maybe proving that there is a rule that any time you multiply something by 0 it is 0, may help to convince them to change their beliefs. Giving some other examples similar to the problem and showing that answer could also reinforce the idea. So saying that 0 times 2 is also 0 and 0 times 3 is also 0 and so on.
