To gain mastery of the word
processing tools provided in MS-Word'2002.
Part #1 - 30 Points
You are to create your resume
in MS-Word. Feel free to make the
content of your resume as expansive of your current and desired talents; it is
reasonable to consider the time frame for this resume to be your expected
graduation date.
For a passing grade:

Your resume must at least be one full page.
·
There must be elements chosen appropriately in
the context of a resume that show you know the basics of formatting: bold/italics/underlining, font styles and
sizes, justification, spacing, and margins.
·
Include a statement of career goals. Be sure to list the jobs you have had or will
have before graduation in either retrospective or prospective order. Obviously, you will want to include
information about your educational background, skills possessed, etc. Again, you may make up the details.
For full credit perform two
out of three tasks described below:

Search the web on resume styles and formats. Be sure to explore many options on the format
of your resume - pay attention to spacing, centering, capitalization, bolding,
etc. Use a format that would best
demonstrate your knowledge of word processing.
Create a resume that makes a statement, creates an impression. Document where you found the resume format
that you chose and submit a separate statement describing your search for the
resume format you chose.

Publish your resume on the web:

Add your picture to the resume, use a table, or
experiment with features of the word processor that you might not have used
before; be creative.
Part #2 - 15 Points
Create an advertisement with
MS-Word for something that you wish to sell, if you have nothing that you want
to sell, make something up.
For a passing grade:

Use Paint, or PhotoShop to create a drawing or
choose one from existing images in Word's
Ø
One or two statements bold and large; making it
clear what you are selling.
For full credit:
Ø
Include details that provide complete
information.
Ø
Make an advertisement that would attract
attention, using multiple images, tables, etc.
