Assignment #1 C S C 1 0 1 30 Points
Objectives
This
first assignment is designed to ensure that you can use your email account here
at Oswego. It also fulfills a secondary objective of ensuring that you are
aware of the importance of following instructions for subsequent
assignments. For example, in the text
below, you are asked to use ANSWERS
TO ASSIGNMENT #1, PART ONE as
the subject of your message, not part 1, or assignment
#1. You will lose points for not following the prescribed and
required steps.
Part 1 Due:1/3/01
Compose and send an email to
your lab instructors Jason Taylor (jtaylor@Oswego.EDU)
with the following information in the order listed below. Some of this information we would like so
that we can get a hold of you by phone, Email, or campus mail if needed. Use ANSWERS
TO ASSIGNMENT #1, PART ONE on the subject line of the email you send. We will assume that any other subject line
means your mail is NOT to be considered as your answer to the assignment
and instead is just practice, or asking a question, etc. The following information must be
provided in the order given and numbered as indicated:
1)
Last Name, First Name
2)
Local address
3)
Local phone number
4)
Is there a particular topic or issue concerning computer
technology in society, which you would like to see addressed, time
permitting? Please feel free to list
more than one. I will try to
incorporate as many suggestions as possible into our discussions during this
winter session.
Part 2 Due:1/4/01
After receiving all your emails,
Jason will send a message to all of you.
You must reply to that message, but you don't have to type a
response. With this process, we are sure that we have your correct email
address. DO NOT send to other
recipients of Jason's message (very important). Change the subject line to ANSWERS
TO ASSIGNMENT #1, PART TWO.
