What is Kingdoms of Novitas?
Kingdoms of Novitas is a Boffer LARP utilizing a high fantasy setting. In this LARP players can create stories, battle monsters, role play with other players or non-player characters , and
collect loot. The world of Kingdoms of Novitas takes place on an island called Novitas, within a central region called the Freelands, in the town of Maplewood. This region, the Freelands, is ungoverned and relatively
lawless outside of town jurisdiction. Surrounded by various nations, the Freelands offer adventurers (players) the opportunity to carve their own path as well as influence outside nations. This event is enacted over
a weekend period running from Friday until Sunday. This is divided into four "shifts" broken into: Friday from 9pm-2am, Saturday from 10am-3pm, Saturday from 3pm-8pm, Saturday into Sunday from 8pm-1am.

Why KoN over other LARPs?
Kingdoms of Novitas provides a unique balance to roleplay, combat, immersion, and price point. Whether its fighting the local monsters, or engaging in a debate with locals, a player of Kingdoms of
Novitas can choose to primarily engage in combat, roleplay, or both. With its high fantasy setting, Kingdoms of Novitas can apply historical accuracy while also deviating in allowing fantasy elements. In addition,
Kingoms of Novitas applies a balanced perspective with prop and clothing requirements. With all of these benefits, one would normally expect a high entry fee. To the contrary, while other LARPs can run into the
hundreds of dollars, Kingdoms of Novitas costs only $30 to play. This fee includes sleeping arrangements, food, loaner props and clothing for acting out non-player characters, as well as the support of
various volunteers. Kingdoms of Novitas is also a non-profit orginisations, so certain benefits may or may not apply.
Where is this located?
Kingdoms of Novitas is located in Ava, New York in the Boy Scouts of America's Camp Kingsley. This forested site also includes modern ameneties so that players can be immersed in nature,
while also utilizing maintained buildings, sleeping locations, bathrooms, and showers.
