What's Dune about?

On the planet of Arrakis, a young nobleman named Paul Atreides faces familial and political betrayal as he navigates a complex web of alliances and conflicts surrounding the highly desired resource called Spice. Indigenous to Arrakis, Spice is integral for space travel, creates mind alterations, and affects other cultural aspects of the lives of the native Fremen.
